Paraprofessional / educational Aide

The  Autism Academy of Learning is taking applications for paraprofessionals  serving students between the ages of 5 and 22. Previous personal and/or  professional experience with special needs, specifically autism, is  helpful but we can train those interested in gaining experience. 


Qualifications:  High school graduate or GED required. Must have either 48 semester or  60 quarter hours of earned college credit, or have passed or will be  able to pass the ParaPro Assessment examination. Must possess a  satisfactory BCI/FBI.


Teacher aides with receive dental and vision benefits.

Salary: From $12.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday (work times - 8:00am to 2:30pm or 9:00am to 3:30pm depending on classroom assignment)
  • Ability to work additional hours as a van rider or driver if interested
  • No weekends

Experience:

  • Special education: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • BCI/FBI (Required)
